Investing in the next generation of EMTs to support fast, well-trained emergency response. Supported stronger cybersecurity to better protect the City. Championed police drone technology for faster response times and improved officer safety.
HOUSING & HOMELESSNESS
Bert helped turn unused City property into housing solutions.
Supported the Casa de Carmen Shelter and efforts that helped reduce homelessness by 15% two years in a row.
INFRASTRUCTURE & SAFETY
Bert is tackling long-neglected infrastructure and protecting Oxnard neighborhoods.
Securing funds to finish the Santa Clara River Levee and protect thousands of Oxnard families from flooding. Advancing street repairs, park upgrades, and neighborhood improvements. Fought to split the cost of Harbor seawall repairs to protect our coast and community. Advocated for removing abandoned boats that blight the Harbor.
WATER & ENVIRONMENT
Bert is fighting for Oxnard's fair share of clean drinking water.
He continues to advocate in Ventura County to make sure Oxnard gets the water resources our community deserves.

Advocating for partnerships between businesses and schools that connect Oxnard residents with jobs. Cracking down on illegal sidewalk vending to protect local businesses and keep streets safe.

The goal is to make it easier for residents to access the resources and technology they need, when they need them.
